My boss on my day job knows I’m a freelance writer and called me with a question about whether newspapers are italicized, underlined, or what.
I really wasn’t sure and so I surfed right to the online Chicago Manual of Style.
I love this thing.
When I started getting paying writing gigs, I actually bought the latest/greatest hard copy version of Chicago. But then I discovered that the whole thing was online and searchable and so I subscribed. I now never crack the cover of the book; I don’t need to.
I just checked the price: It’s normally $30 a year but they have an introductory rate of $25 a year you can find about here that’s available until 30 September 2007. Well worth it.
fyi and enjoy!
